The K-Academic Diffusion Research Center at the Inha Center for International Studies, Inha University, held the launch ceremony for the fourth cohort of K-Connectors on October 6, 2026, in Room 201 of the university’s 60th Anniversary Memorial Hall. The event marked the beginning of the cohort’s efforts to promote Korean studies through student-produced video content.

K-Connectors is a program that supports university students in deepening their understanding of Korean studies, sharing knowledge about Korea with domestic and international audiences, and becoming active participants in public diplomacy. The fourth cohort will plan and produce Reels and other short-form videos based on Korean studies courses developed by the center for K-MOOC. Participants will present topics such as Korean politics, diplomacy, and society through their own perspectives and creative expression.

The ceremony opened with congratulatory remarks by Lee Jin-young, Director of the Inha Center for International Studies.

During the team introductions, participants shared their team names, introduced their members, and spoke about their motivations for joining and aspirations for the program. Each team discussed what had inspired them to take part in creating Korean studies content and expressed their commitment to the activities ahead, giving participants an opportunity to get to know one another.

The fourth cohort’s activities will run from October 2026 to January 2027. Participants will complete two rounds of video production, creating at least one video in each round and undertaking every stage of the content creation process, from topic selection and proposal writing to filming, editing, and publication.

The program connects the center’s Korean studies courses with students’ creative content production. Participants will present the academic material covered in the courses through accessible videos and share them on social media, helping to broaden interest in and understanding of Korean studies among audiences in Korea and abroad.

Through K-Connectors, the K-Academic Diffusion Research Center extends its work beyond developing and distributing Korean studies courses and content by enabling university students to take an active role in sharing Korean studies with the public. The center will continue to support initiatives that draw on young people’s perspectives and participation to broaden the reach of Korean studies in the social sciences and strengthen connections between academia and society.
