K-Connectors 3rd Cohort, Team Injeolmi Hosts Online Quiz Event
“Challenge! Golden Bell” with International Students

On November 1, Team Injeolmi of the 3rd cohort of the K-Connectors held an online quiz program titled “Challenge! Golden Bell” for Inha University students, including international and exchange students. The program, part of the team’s “Jettaebapttae (제때밥때)” project, was designed to help international students better understand Korea’s traditional culture and to promote interaction between domestic and international students.

The quiz questions were based on content from the team’s official Instagram posts, which introduced Korea’s seasonal solar terms (jeolgi), seasonal  customs (sesifungsok), and festive  food. articipants wrote their answers on sketchbooks and shared them on screen during the event. Small prizes were awarded to top participants, and after the activity, students shared their reflections and insights via Padlet.
This program provided international students with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Korea’s sense of seasonality, everyday cultural practices, and community values. It also encouraged them to actively engage and communicate in a new environment, strengthening their adaptation to Korean society. For Korean students, the event offered a chance to rediscover the meaning of familiar seasonal traditions and to enhance their global sensitivity and cross-cultural communication skills through interaction with international peers.
Participants responded positively to the event. LE THI NHU Y, an international student from Vietnam, shared, “Because it was a quiz format, I could join without feeling pressured, and I learned many new things about Korean traditional culture. I’d love to join an offline version next time.” Yang Eunsol, a Korean participant, commented, “It was a great opportunity to revisit traditional customs and seasons that I hadn’t thought much about in daily life. Talking with international students helped me see our culture from different perspectives, which was very meaningful.”

The Injeolmi Team plans to host a Potluck party and operate an open booth as part of the follow-up programs in the ongoing [Jettaebapttae] project. The team stated, “We will continue to create opportunities where both Korean and international students can naturally experience Korean traditional culture in everyday life and share their backgrounds and experiences with each other.” Updates on the Injeolmi Team’s activities can be found on their Instagram (@injeolmi_inha).
