Professor Kim Soo Won, a co-researcher at the K-Academic Diffusion Research Center under the Inha Center for International Studies (ICIS), introduced the overall K Academic Diffusion Project and its research center on August 22 at an international academic conference with Pretoria University in South Africa. It was meaningful for us to promote the K-Academic Diffusion Project to a number of scholars who focus on Asia-Africa relations. In addition, we discussed various ways of cooperating between the centers with Professor Alf Gunval Nilsen, director of the Asia Center at Pretoria University, and Professor Kim Tae-kyun, director of the Asia-Africa Center at Seoul National University.
Both centers agreed to strengthen cooperation, including the signing of MoU by conducting continuous discussions with Pretoria University, called one of the prestigious universities in South Africa and the hub of African education. It seems symbolic for Pretoria University to become the first African country in carrying out the Korean studies diffusion activities effectively.
