The 1st Joint Researchers’ Workshop of the 5th year K-Academic Diffusion Project

On September 5, 2025 (Friday), from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., the K-Academic Diffusion Research Center, Inha University, held the “5th Year, 1st Joint Researchers’ Workshop” at the Press Center, Magnolia Hall. The workshop was organized under the theme of K-Academic Management and Dissemination, with the aim of sharing future directions of the institute’s projects while strengthening exchange and collaboration among researchers.
The event opened with a welcoming address by Director Jean-young Lee, followed by introductions of the participants. Director Lee highlighted the institute’s accumulated academic achievements and social contributions, stressing that in its fifth year the K-Academic Diffusion Project will continue to expand international networks and enhance scholarly influence. The introductions fostered a collegial atmosphere that set the tone for the workshop.

Next, Research Professor SeungJae Lee presented detailed plans for the institute’s operations in the fifth year and outlined the overall schedule of the K-Academic Diffusion Project. He provided specific updates on the operation of K-MOOC courses aligned with the institute’s core research themes, plans for overseas expansion, and strategies for strengthening international cooperative networks.
Following this, Research Fellow Siyao Xing gave an overview of the main contents and strategies of the K-Academic Diffusion Project. She explained the achievements and challenges of the project, emphasizing the importance of active participation and collaboration among joint researchers in the process of disseminating academic outcomes as shared social assets. An open Q&A session followed, allowing participants to exchange views and explore directions for improvement.

In addition, a session was dedicated to the practical aspects of K-MOOC course production. Ji-eun Lee, PM from Mirim, the content production company, provided a detailed explanation of the overall filming procedures, technical support systems, and quality management measures for course content. She also responded to participants’ questions, helping them understand the entire process from planning and filming to editing and distribution.
Alongside in-person attendance, many joint researchers engaged in K-MOOC course development also joined via Zoom, enabling active online participation. This hybrid format allowed for broad sharing of the fifth-year project roadmap and facilitated substantial discussion of concrete implementation strategies.
The workshop concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to ensuring that the institute’s research capacity and academic resources, through the K-Academic Diffusion Project, will generate an even greater international impact in the years to come.
