2023-24 Inha CIS K-Academic, 6th Colloquium
On Friday, June 7, 2024, the K-Academic Diffusion Research Center held the 6th colloquium of its third year, inviting professors from universities in Central Asia to discuss the center's primary task of studying trends in Korean Studies. The colloquium, themed "Localization of Korean Studies: Current Status, Challenges, and Needs," provided an opportunity to explore the current state of Korean Studies research in various regions of Central Asia, ways to meet the rapidly increasing demand for Korean Studies, and methods for enhancing the quality of research through inter-institutional cooperation.
The event was moderated by Jean-Young Lee, Director of the Inha CIS. Presenters included Prof. So-Young Kim of Sophia University; Prof. Eun-Hyun Moon of Baku State University; Prof. Sang-Ho Oh of Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages; Prof. Eun-Kyung Jeong of Istanbul University; and Prof. Seungup Hwang of Istanbul University.
Discussants included Dong-Ki Sung, Vice Director of the Inha CIS; Kyounghee Cho, Kyung-Min Park, and XING SIYAO, Research Fellows of the Inha CIS.
