On May 11th, The K-Academic Diffusion Research Center hosted the 5th Colloquium with director Joseph Juhn - a documentary filmmaker of and , as the start of the academic lecture series on identity politics. 

 

Under the topic of “Diaspora is the future”, director Joseph Juhn delivered an insightful lecture on the Korean diaspora, particularly on the identity of these overseas Koreans. His journey to meet overseas Koreans around the world, such as Joseonjok,  Kyoryoin or Koreans in Germany, Brazil, and South Africa, had provided audiences with a closer look at the lives of a variety of overseas Korean communities.

 

In addition, a lively Q&A session between participants and director Juhn also provided all participants with precious time to think about the Korean diaspora once again.
