The K-Academic Dissemination Project at Inha University continues to strengthen its global network by actively engaging with overseas universities and research institutions to promote the international spread of Korean Studies. As part of these efforts, Dr. Min Won-jung, Co-Researcher of the project and Visiting Research Fellow at the Seoul National University Asia Center, carried out promotional activities for the K-Academic Dissemination Program during her visit to Chile from September 22 to 26, 2025.

Dr. Min visited five major higher education institutions in Chile, including Universidad Alberto Hurtado, Universidad de Chile, Universidad de Los Andes, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and Universidad Diego Portales. She introduced the purpose and core components of the K-Academic Dissemination Program to representatives from international affairs offices, institutes of international relations, Asia centers, and anthropology departments, while also distributing the official program brochure.

Local administrators expressed strong interest in Korean Studies–related educational content and global collaboration programs. In particular, institutions with Asia-focused or international studies units discussed various forms of potential cooperation, such as linking Korean Studies courses, co-hosting academic events, and utilizing online educational materials.

This outreach initiative in Chile is considered a meaningful achievement as it helped raise the visibility of Inha University's K-Academic Dissemination Program in the Latin American region and established an initial network that could develop into long-term partnerships. Despite the promotional nature of the visit—centered on program introduction and brochure distribution—the positive reception and genuine interest shown by Chilean universities signal promising prospects for future collaboration.

The Inha University K-Academic Dissemination Project will continue expanding its global Korean Studies network and strengthening partnerships with educational and research institutions across diverse regions, contributing to the wider international presence of Korean Studies.
