On December 5th, the Inha CIS successfully held a joint International Conference with the Development International Law in Asia-Korea with the topic of ‘Asian States’ Potential Leadership in International Law’ at Chiang Ching-Kuo Presidential Libary, Taiwan.
The academic conference comprised a total of two sessions with presentations and discussions. Professor Seokwoo Lee(Inha University) and Director Jean-Young Lee(Inha CIS) chaired each session.
The first session focused on '10 Years after the Initiation of the South China Sea Arbitration and its Impact on Territorial and Maritime Disputes in Asia.' The second session's theme was 'Developing International Norms Addressing the Disposal of Nuclear Waste and Nuclear Governance at the International and Domestic Levels.'
The speakers included Professor Sangtu Ko(Yonsei University), Professor Rommel J. Casis(University of the Philippines College of Law), and Professor Hitoshi Ushijima(Chuo University).
