[Inha CIS] Current Research Status on Korea-U.S. Studies in Japan and Exploration of Regional Research Expansion Strategies

On April 6th, the Inha CIS (Director: Jean-Young Lee), sponsored by the Academy of Korean Studies and the Korea Foundation, jointly organized an international academic conference with the Institute of Japan-US Studies (Director: Gemma Masahiko) at Waseda University in Tokyo, under the theme of "Current Research Status on Korea-U.S. Studies in Japan and Exploration of Regional Research Expansion Strategies."
 
The conference consisted of two sessions featuring presentations and comprehensive discussions. In the first session, chaired by Research Fellow Kyung-Min Park (Inha University), Professor Seok-Won Song (Kyung Hee University) presented on "Current Research Status on Korea in Japan," and Director Gemma Masahiko (Institute of Japan-US Studies) spoke on "Research on the United States in Japan and Japanese Studies in the United States: Formation and Achievements of USJI."
 
In the second session, a comprehensive discussion was held on the results, challenges, and future directions of the research on academic dissemination conducted by the Inha K-Academic Diffusion Research Center from the perspective of the current situation and demand in the Japanese region. Director Jean-Young Lee (Inha CIS) chaired the discussion, with all attendees of the first session, as well as Professor Asakura Toshio (Ritsumeikan University), Journalist Ikeda Ko (Nishinippon Newspaper), Journalist Kubo Yuichi (TBS Broadcasting Foreign News Department), and Research Fellow Seung-Jae Lee (Inha University).
