[Inha CIS] The Asian Century Fact or Fiction?

On June 10-11, the Inha K-Academic Diffusion Research Center co-hosted an international academic conference with the Korean Branch of the International Law Association (ILA-KOREA) and the Development of International Law in Asia (DILA-KOREA). The conference, held at Fraser Place Namdaemun, was titled "The Asian Century: Fact or Fiction?" and was supported by the Academy of Korean Studies, Duksu Law Firm, and the Institute for Legal Studies of Inha University.
 
The conference was organized into five thematic sessions, chaired by Jean-Young Lee, Director of the Inha CIS; Hee Eun Lee, Professor at Handong University; Dustin Kuan-Hsiung Wang, Professor at National Taiwan Normal University; Inho Kim, Professor at Ewha Womans University; and Kyung Han Sohn, Attorney at Hwahyun Law Firm.
 
Each session featured in-depth presentations and discussions on topics related to the potential rise of the Asian region, including A broad overview of the territorial and maritime disputes in Asia Outlining some strategic realities Causes of stability in the region Contemporary challenges and opportunities. Experts from 14 Asian countries, including Jean-Young Lee, Director of the Inha CIS; Kevin YL TAN, Professor at the National University of Singapore; and Naoshi TAKASUGI, Professor at Doshisha University, presented at the conference. Various experts from Korea participated as discussants.
 
On this occasion, Director Jean-Young Lee of the Inha CIS presented "An Introduction to the K-Academic Diffusion Program of Inha University," highlighting the research achievements of the Inha K-Academic Diffusion Research Center and the Korean studies courses produced by the center.
